My second book is now available online, and the first printed copies should be here by mid November.



Ok I know, I have been a less than enthusiastic participant here on deviantart over the past year, but I plan to make that a thing of the past. As many of you may have noticed I have changed my deviantart account name to my own, in an attempt to be more professional with the account.

I have recently finished my newest book and I should be receiving the first printed copy next week As soon as everything is confirmed I will be posting a link to where it can be purchased online.
The book itself is a square format 7" by 7" hard cover with 50pages, and was created and will be printed using the blurb software and website (www.blurb.com/)
It will also be available for purchase at Hemp City and Dynamic in downtown Kelowna.

The book was entirely shot at a local retro Arcade and cafe in downtown Kelowna. A great collective of music, art, all things good!
I am pretty excited to see what the final project looks like it's definitely been a good 6months or so in the making.

Now for some sad but happy news. I know that I will going ahead have less and less time to manage my somewhat dormant Abstract groups; abstractdeviants.deviantart.co… and abstractphotography.deviantart…
I would love to see these groups become a lot more active in the future so I am looking for someone interested in helping me out with the admin side of things and submissions. If you are interested please send me a note detailing why you think you would be a good candidate for the job.

Lastly here is a little feature of some of the deviations that I have added to my favorites, I may have had close to 10,000 deviation to look at over the past couple weeks but I have not skipped over any of them

So despite my seeming lack of inactivity here on dA I have been keeping up with my message center and all the submissions for my two clubs. It's been a while since I really spent any quality time with my camera. I haven't really had much time or inspiration to actually go out and shoot anything. However I was recently contacted by a model in the area so that may be a good excuse to become inspired and create again.

Speaking of inspiration I saw this photo the other day and it seriously took my breath away, the colour, movement, composition, texture... everything about it is simply stunning a definite and I hope you all enjoy it as well.

So as many of you already know I was recently promoted. I have to say that I am loving the job although probably spending way more time at work than I should *cough 10hr days plus homework. What this means for my deviantART account is that I've been spending wayyyyyyy less time checking my msg center and chatting on dAmn, but I have still been managing to get through all the hundreds of deviations and journals every few days so I have come across quite a few great deviations a few of which I would love to share with all of you:

So although I have been busy I have still made time for dA and plan to continue as I love the community and the art. I also hope to actually get a chance to go out with my camera sometime within the next week so I'll see what I can do about getting some updated photos in my gallery. I know it's been a while. But for any of you whose msg centers are lacking in deviations I would strongly encourage you to check out my two groups abstractdeviants and AbstractPhotography, and if any of you are wanting to chat you can usually find me idling on dAmn in both #Abstractography and #abstrators don't hesitate to poke me if I am online I would definitely like to talk art for a while it might actually help me become inspired once again.

As most of you are probably already aware there are always great contests here on dA and I would like to point you in the direction of opioid's contest for surreal photography, as well as the hosted by the Abstract--Reality group.

So since I've been back I've managed to plow through the like 2500 deviations in my message center and the 500 some journals. But that's not all I've been up to, I've also been working to get abstractdeviants and AbstractPhotography back to life, both clubs are now Groups. I have started two weekly newsletters for these groups as well check out abstractdeviants Issue #1 and AbstractPhotography Issue #1 where there are some amazing pieces of artwork by some wonderful artists.
Lastly now that I have the time some of you may have noticed that I've been spending some more time on dAmn again, anyone wanting to talk about anything abstract can check me out in #Abstractography or #abstrators, if I don't say hi when you come in don't hesitate to me lol
